On this page, you can find information on how organisations from non-EU countries can engage with EIT Water.

Non-EU countries located within the European continent are aligned with an EIT Water Regional Hub. Over time, Horizon Europe associated countries from outside the European continent will also be incorporated into our Regional Hub structure. These countries are: Australia, Canada, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Tunisia.
Until this alignment is made clear on our website, all organisations from Horizon Europe associated counties are welcome to contact us and register their interest via our Head Office at: this link

Legal entities from a selection of additional countries can participate under conditions equivalent to those of entities from EU Member States. Please refer to this site for the full list of countries eligible to participate in Horizon Europe .

Countries that are not associated with Horizon Europe can still engage and participate in EIT Water activities under the same conditions as other participants. However, they are not eligible for EU funding, although they may access alternative funding streams. Participants from certain low- to middle-income countries may be eligible for EU-funding.

Please refer to this site to see which.

Entities subject to EU restrictive measures under Article 29 of the Treaty on the European Union (TEU) and Article 215 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU (TFEU) as well as Article 75 TFEU, are not eligible to participate in any capacity, including as beneficiaries, affiliated entities, associated partners, third parties giving in-kind contributions, subcontractors or recipients of financial support to third parties (if any). Please refer to this site to see which.
